Audit & Change History¶
This guide covers the Audit Log, which records every configuration change made to your courier organization. Use it to track who changed what and when across all settings.
Prerequisites¶
- You are logged in as a courier team member
- Your courier application has been approved
- You have an active courier organization selected
Steps¶
Step 1: Open the Audit Log¶
Navigate to Config Hub > Organization > Audit Log. The Audit Log screen displays a chronological list of all configuration changes made within your organization, with the most recent changes shown first.
Info
The Audit Log card is located on the Organization tab of the Config Hub, alongside General, Banking, and Team management.
Step 2: Browse change entries¶
Each entry in the audit log is displayed as a card showing:
- Action type — an icon and label indicating which config section was changed (e.g. "General", "Pricing", "Contacts")
- Actor — the name (or email) of the team member who made the change, with their avatar
- Timestamp — the date and time the change was made (e.g. "15 Jun 2024, 14:32")
- Changed fields — up to 4 field names and their new values are shown inline on the card
Tip
Tap any entry card to expand a detail sheet showing all changed fields and their values. Cards with no field changes (e.g. team actions) do not expand.
Step 3: Filter by action type¶
Below the search bar, a horizontal row of filter chips lets you narrow the log to a specific action type. Tap a chip to show only entries of that type. Available action types include:
| Action | Config Section |
|---|---|
| General | Company profile (name, description, logo) |
| Banking | Banking details (bank name, account, SWIFT, branch) |
| Contacts | Contact information (phone, email, WhatsApp, supervisor) |
| Pricing | Pricing configuration (method, fees, tiers, markup) |
| Zones | Delivery zones (polygon areas for door-to-door) |
| Country Settings | SLA transit times, country activation/deactivation |
| Escalation Settings | Escalation alerts configuration |
Team-related actions also appear in the log:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Invite Team Member | A new member was invited to the organization |
| Accept Team Invitation | An invited member accepted and joined |
| Decline Team Invitation | An invited member declined the invitation |
| Revoke Team Invitation | An owner revoked a pending invitation |
| Remove Team Member | A member was removed from the organization |
| Update Member Permissions | A member's role permissions were changed |
Info
The filter chips are generated dynamically from the actions that exist in your organization's log. If no one has changed pricing yet, the "Pricing" chip will not appear.
Step 4: Search the log¶
Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find specific entries. The search matches against:
- Action type — e.g. typing "banking" finds all banking changes
- Actor name — e.g. typing a team member's name shows their changes
- Field names — e.g. typing "base_fee" finds entries where the base fee was modified
Type your query and results filter in real time. Tap the X button to clear the search.
Step 5: Load more entries¶
The audit log loads entries in pages. Scroll to the bottom of the list to automatically load older entries. A loading indicator appears while the next page is being fetched.
Pull down on the list to refresh and load the latest entries from the server.
Result¶
After reviewing the Audit Log:
- You have a complete record of all configuration changes across your organization
- You can identify which team member made a specific change and when
- You can filter and search to find changes to a particular config section
- Country-scoped entries are filtered based on your accessible countries (if your permissions are limited to specific countries, you only see relevant entries)
Troubleshooting¶
| Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No changes found | No configuration changes have been made yet, or filters are too restrictive | Remove the action filter (tap "All") and clear the search bar. |
| Cannot see a change I just made | The list may be stale | Pull down to refresh the list, which reloads from the server. |
| Missing entries for a specific country | Your permissions are scoped to certain countries only | Organization-wide entries (general, banking) are always visible. Country-specific entries (contacts, pricing, zones) are filtered by your accessible countries. Ask the owner to adjust your country access if needed. |
| Actor shows as "Unknown" | The team member's profile has no name set | The system falls back to their email address. If neither is available, "Unknown" is shown. |
| Filter chip for a section is missing | No changes have been recorded for that section yet | The chip will appear automatically once a change of that type is made. |
