Delivery Zones¶

This guide covers how to configure delivery zones for door-to-door delivery coverage. Delivery zones are map-drawn polygons that define the geographic areas where your courier offers door-to-door delivery. Customers see whether their address falls within a delivery zone during checkout.

Prerequisites¶

You are logged in as a courier owner (or a team member with delivery_zones write permission)
Your courier application has been approved
You have at least one active country configured
You can access the Config Hub from the courier home screen

Steps¶

Step 1: Navigate to Delivery Zones¶

Open the Config Hub and select the Country Operations tab. Tap Delivery Zones to open the zones configuration screen.

If you operate in multiple countries, use the country dropdown at the top of the Country Operations tab to select the country you want to configure zones for. The page title shows "Delivery Zones — [Country Name]" to confirm your selection.

Step 2: Enable door-to-door delivery¶

The Door-to-Door Delivery toggle at the top of the screen must be enabled before you can configure delivery zones. When disabled, the page displays the message:

"Delivery zones require door-to-door delivery to be enabled"

Toggle the switch to on to enable door-to-door delivery for the selected country.

Warning

If door-to-door delivery is enabled but no zones have been drawn, a warning indicator appears on the Delivery Zones card in the Config Hub. This signals that customers cannot yet use door-to-door delivery because no coverage area is defined.

Step 3: Add a delivery zone¶

Once door-to-door is enabled, tap the + button in the app bar to create a new delivery zone. Each zone requires:

Note

There is a maximum number of delivery zones per country (configured by the platform, default 10). The zone count is displayed as "X / Max" below the heading. When the limit is reached, the + button is disabled and a message appears: "Maximum of X delivery zones reached."

Step 4: Draw the delivery area¶

Tap Draw Delivery Area on the zone card to open the full-screen map editor. Draw your delivery coverage polygon by tapping points on the map:

Tap on the map to place polygon points (minimum 3 points required to form a polygon)
A maximum of 8 points can be placed per polygon
Use the Undo button to remove the last point
Use the Clear button to remove all points and start over
Tap the ✓ (Done) button when finished to save the polygon and return to the zones screen

The delivery area is shown in blue on the map preview.

Step 5: Optionally add a free delivery zone¶

After drawing a delivery area (minimum 3 points), you can add an optional free delivery zone within it. Tap Add Free Delivery Zone on the zone card to open the map editor for the free zone:

The parent delivery area is shown as a background polygon for reference
Draw the free zone polygon the same way (tap to place points, minimum 3)
The free zone is shown in green on the map preview

Tip

Use the free delivery zone to define a core area (such as a city center) where no delivery fee applies, while the surrounding delivery area charges standard delivery rates.

To remove an existing free zone, tap Remove Free Zone on the zone card.

Step 6: Manage zone status¶

Each zone card has a menu (three-dot icon) with the following options:

Deactivate / Activate — toggle the zone between active and inactive states. Disabled zones show a "Disabled" badge and are not used for customer address matching at checkout.
Delete — permanently remove the zone (requires confirmation).

Step 7: Save your changes¶

Tap the Save Zones button at the bottom of the screen to persist all zone configurations. A confirmation message "Zones saved" appears on success.

When you finish drawing or editing a polygon for an existing (previously saved) zone, changes are auto-saved when you tap the ✓ button in the map editor. The manual Save button is primarily for new zones or name changes.

Result¶

After configuring delivery zones:

The Delivery Zones card in Config Hub shows the zone count (e.g., "3 zones") when door-to-door is enabled
The warning indicator clears once at least one zone is drawn for an enabled door-to-door country
During checkout, the system checks whether the customer's delivery address falls within an active delivery zone to determine door-to-door availability
Each zone's map preview shows the delivery area (blue) and free zone (green) with a color legend
Zone configurations are saved per-country — switching countries loads that country's zones

Troubleshooting¶

Issue	Cause	Solution
"Delivery zones require door-to-door delivery to be enabled" message shown	The door-to-door toggle is off for the selected country	Enable the Door-to-Door Delivery switch at the top of the screen.
Warning indicator on Delivery Zones card	Door-to-door is enabled but no zones have been drawn	Draw at least one delivery zone polygon and save.
Cannot tap the + button to add a zone	Maximum zone limit reached	Delete an unused zone or contact support to increase the limit.
"Add Free Delivery Zone" button is disabled	The delivery area polygon has fewer than 3 points	Draw the delivery area first (minimum 3 points) before adding a free zone.
"All zones must have a name" error on save	One or more zones have an empty name field	Enter a name for every zone before saving.
Zone not appearing at checkout	Zone is deactivated	Use the zone menu to reactivate the zone.
Unsaved changes warning when leaving	New zones or edits haven't been saved	Tap Save Zones before navigating away, or choose Discard to lose changes.

Pickup Points — configure collection locations as an alternative to door-to-door delivery
Depots — set up the depot infrastructure that supports your delivery network
