Analytics & Reports

This guide covers the analytics dashboard, which provides performance metrics for your courier operations. The dashboard shows delivery volume, revenue, timing breakdowns, service quality indicators, and delivery mode splits — all scoped by country and time period.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in as a courier owner (or a team member with appropriate read permission)
  • Your courier application has been approved
  • You have at least one active country with delivery history

Steps

Step 1: Open the Analytics screen

From the courier home screen, tap Analytics to open the analytics dashboard. The screen loads data for the current month by default.

Step 2: Select a time period

Use the period selector row at the top of the screen to choose the reporting window. Available periods are:

Period Coverage
7 days Rolling last 7 days
14 days Rolling last 14 days
This month 1st of current month to today
Last month Full previous calendar month
90 days Rolling last 90 days
Year 1st January of current year to today

Tapping a period chip reloads all metrics for that window. Year-over-year comparisons are calculated automatically against the same window one year prior.

Step 3: Filter by country

If your courier operates in multiple countries, tap the country chip (shows "All countries" by default) to open a country picker. Select a specific country to scope all metrics to deliveries for that destination, or choose "All countries" to view combined data.

Info

The country filter applies across all three tabs. Changing the country reloads all dashboard data.

Step 4: Review the Overview tab

The Overview tab displays key performance indicators:

  • Revenue — total delivery revenue earned in the selected period, with year-over-year percentage change
  • Delivered — number of orders successfully delivered, with year-over-year change
  • Avg / delivery — average revenue per delivered order
  • Weight — total shipment weight in kilograms

Below the headline metrics, a Service quality section shows:

  • Seamless — orders delivered without any customer messages (fully automated flow)
  • Needed communication — orders where messages were exchanged during fulfilment
  • Cancelled — orders cancelled before delivery
  • Customer rating — average star rating and total number of ratings received

Step 5: Review the Timing tab

The Timing tab shows average time spent at each logistics stage, compared to the previous equivalent period:

Stage Description
Warehouse dwell Time from procurement complete to parcel arriving at your depot
Transit (depot → depot) Time from SA depot to destination country depot
Country depot dwell Time parcel sits at destination depot before going out
Pickup point dwell Time goods wait at pickup point for customer collection (shown only when applicable)
Last mile Time from dispatch to final delivery to customer

Each stage shows the current average hours, the previous period value, and a directional indicator (lower is better).

Tip

Use the timing breakdown to identify bottlenecks. If "Country depot dwell" is high, parcels may be sitting too long before dispatch assignment.

Step 6: Review the Breakdown tab

The Breakdown tab provides:

Delivery mode split — a visual bar showing the proportion of door-to-door versus collect-at-depot deliveries, with exact counts and percentages. If you operate in multiple countries, a per-country breakdown is shown below the bar.

Cancellation reasons — a list of reasons orders were cancelled in the period:

Reason Description
Item unavailable Item could not be procured
Price increased Item price rose beyond acceptable threshold
Price decreased Price drop triggered re-evaluation
Other / customer request Customer-initiated or other cancellation

Step 7: Export data as CSV

Tap the download icon in the app bar to export detailed per-order data as a CSV file. The export includes all orders in the selected period and country, with columns for:

  • Order ID, customer name, country, delivery mode
  • Pickup point name and address
  • Order status, placement date, last updated date
  • Financial breakdown (product total, delivery, platform fee, tax, levies, tariffs, grand total, refunded amount)
  • Item count, weight in kg, message count
  • Per-stage timing in hours (warehouse, transit, depot, pickup, last mile, total)

Note

On web, the CSV opens in a new browser tab. On mobile, a save dialog lets you choose where to store the file.

Result

After reviewing the analytics dashboard:

  • You have visibility into delivery volume, revenue trends, and year-over-year performance
  • Timing metrics highlight which logistics stages are fastest or slowest
  • Service quality scores indicate how often deliveries require manual intervention
  • Delivery mode breakdown shows customer preferences per country
  • Cancellation data helps identify procurement or pricing issues
  • Exported CSV provides raw data for further analysis in spreadsheets or BI tools

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Solution
"No data" shown on dashboard No deliveries in selected period/country Change the time period or country filter to a range with delivery activity.
Year-over-year shows "new" No data exists for the comparison year This is expected for couriers operating less than a year. Comparisons appear once historical data accumulates.
Export shows "No data to export" No orders match the current filters Adjust the period or country selection to include completed orders.
Export fails with error Network issue or timeout Check your internet connection and try again. For large datasets, try a shorter time period.
Pickup point dwell not visible No pickup-point deliveries in period This stage only appears when there are collect-at-depot orders with pickup point data.
Loading spinner persists Slow network or server issue Tap the refresh icon in the app bar to retry. Check your connection if the issue persists.
